Association
Located in Vancouver’s historic Strathcona neighbourhood, the Vancouver Tsung Tsin Hakka Association is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization. This is Vancouver's Hakka House - the first cultural and heritage space dedicated to Hakka oral history, storytelling, and intergenerational learning. At Hakka House, elders and youth come together to share knowledge, actively use and preserve the Hakka language, and exchange lived experiences that sustain cultural memory. Through this work, the Association strengthens relationships within the Hakka community, promotes Hakka culture and multiculturalism in Canada, and builds meaningful connections between Hakka-Canadian groups and the wider cultural landscape.
